Nadsat Goes Woke

     Nadsat was the fictional slang which in the book (and later movie) that was influenced by Russian via “subliminal penetration” by Communists. These days, a woke equivalent can be found, also influenced by a Marxism-derived ideology. Case in point:

     So, if you identify as a clockwork orange, then you are a clockwork orange, right?

    Oddly, the statements have a grammatical structure just like English, and certain of the phrases walk right up to the edge of meaning. It’s like the old Steve Martin gag where everyone talks wrong in front of the baby until it goes to school and asks the teacher “Can I mambo dogface in the bananapatch?”
